Terms & Conditions
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you're engaging in coaching or counselling, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive space where you can explore challenges, build on your strengths, and create meaningful change.
Below are some important details about how we’ll work together.
1. Understanding Coaching & Counselling
I offer both coaching and counselling, and while they share similarities, they serve different purposes:
Coaching is action-oriented and focuses on personal growth, goal setting, and creating sustainable behavior change. It is designed for people who are looking to enhance their lives, navigate challenges, or improve specific areas such as motivation, habits, or self-management. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy or mental health treatment.
Counselling is more reflective and therapeutic, supporting emotional wellbeing and personal healing. It may involve processing past experiences, addressing emotional distress, and developing coping strategies. As a registered counsellor with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA), I adhere to their ethical and professional standards (READ HERE).
During our initial session, we’ll clarify which approach best suits your needs, and this can be adjusted as we go.
2. What You Can Expect
This space is yours to explore, grow, and work toward positive change at your own pace.
You can expect:
A non-judgmental, confidential, and supportive environment.
A collaborative approach where we tailor strategies to your needs.
Practical tools and insights grounded in research and evidence-based practice.
Honest and constructive guidance to help you make progress.
3. Confidentiality & Privacy
Your privacy is very important to me. Everything we discuss in sessions remains entirely confidential, with a few standard exceptions required by law:
If you give written permission to share information with another professional.
If I believe there is an immediate risk of harm to you or someone else.
If I am legally required to provide information (e.g., court orders).

4. Booking, Rescheduling & Cancellations
I understand that life happens! If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours' notice so that the time can be offered to someone else.
Reschedules and cancellations can be made by you directly via the link on your calendar bookings.
Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur full fees, as short-notice cancellations are difficult to fill.
In the case of legitimate emergency, please reach out—I’ll always do my best to accommodate.
Sessions on hold (coaching packages only)
Should you need to put your coaching sessions on "hold" for personal or medical reasons, I am happy to accommodate with written notice via email as to the term you wish to have your sessions on hold.
I understand that sometimes circumstances beyond our control happen. I will do my very best to accommodate your needs leaving you to resume your coaching sessions when you are ready to do so.
Lateness for sessions
It can be a struggle with ADHD in particular to keep to time! However, the session time that you book has been set aside specifically for us to focus on you. If you are late to a session (up to 15 minutes), we will make the best of your remaining time but I will be unable to extend past your original session booking due to other client bookings.
If you are more than 15 minutes late without prior notice, unfortunately the session will be cancelled and session fee payable/forfeited.
5. Fees & Payment
Fees are payable at the time of booking or within 12 hours of the sesssion.
Payment options include online via Stripe, bank transfer, Paypal and afterpay.
If payment becomes an issue, please let me know so we can discuss options. Continued late payment without discussion will require a pause on future sessions.
Outstanding balances must be cleared before further sessions can be booked.
Session and package fees are non-refundable.
6. Your Role in the Process
Coaching and counselling work best when you feel engaged and empowered in the process. Your role includes:
Being open and honest about your experiences, challenges, and goals.
Taking an active role in the work we do together, including trying out strategies between sessions.
Communicating if something isn’t working for you so we can adjust our approach.
Additionally, for coaching clients:
Client acknowledges that coaching does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders as defined by Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM–5) and that coaching is not to be used as a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care, substance abuse treatment, or other professional advice by legal, medical or other qualified professionals, and that it is the Client’s exclusive responsibility to seek such independent professional guidance as needed.
If Client is currently under the care of a mental health professional, it is recommended that the Client promptly inform the mental health care provider of the nature and extent of the coaching relationship agreed upon by the Client and the Coach.
Please note: Coaching is NOT a replacement for an addiction treatment program. If you are physically dependent upon alcohol, withdrawal can have serious medical implications, some fatal. Please consult your GP or a medical professional. Coaching gives you the tools and accountability to helps you sustain behavioural change and helps you rebuild, rewire and replenish healthy habits and routines in place of drinking.
7. Ethical Standards & Feedback
I follow the ACA Code of Ethics to ensure a professional and ethical practice. If you have any concerns, I encourage open communication so we can resolve them together. If needed, you can also reach out to the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) for further support.
For ADHD coaching we adhere to PAAC competencies: https://paaccoaches.org/core-competencies/
