Team DSC podcast: addiction, ADHD and acceptance

🎙️ Today is a big and scary day for me as a new podcast is out with the fabulous Team DSC on … addiction, ADHD and acceptance.
.
DSC are essentially the 'go to' people for NDIS and disability training and consulting (B2B).
.
I feel with my ADHD diagnosis six months ago, just like I did when I 'came out' publicly about my alcohol addiction.
.
I've worked with many, many disability organisations over this past decade (including neurodivergent specific ones) and it's been quite a revelation to learn that I am myself neurodivergent. Honestly, I'm still processing it.
.
Anyway, I talk with Roland and Evie Naufal about:
.
🧠 the overlap with addiction in terms of shame and stigma
🧠 why so many people with ADHD experience addiction of some kind
🧠 why the language we use about things that impact us is so laden and complex
🧠 why late diagnosis can be a tricky one to get your head around
🧠 why I'm worried I may never work again!
